Our vision is to facilitate health-related initiatives, programs, and services that improve the quality of life for the residents of Lincoln Parish.
Healthier Beginnings
Our Objective
Improve outcomes for children and their families by providing home-based parenting and early childhood outreach programs to families in Lincoln Parish who access public health or other assistance resources.

Healthier Living
Promote healthier living by providing specific programs that address the following issues:
- Increase opportunities for physical activity in community.
- Increase teachers’ knowledge of nutrition.
- Increase parental knowledge of benefits of proper nutrition and physical activity.
- Encourage healthy food alternatives in school system and via nutritional education programs.
- Reduce the occurrence of teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, and delay the onset of teenage sexual activity.

Healthier Outcomes & Access to Health Care
Increase access to health care services for Lincoln Parish elementary school students students and Lincoln Parish Residents by:
- Implementing school-based health care programs that:
- increase school nursing staff
- ensure that school nurse’s stations are stocked with adequate supplies
- provide hygiene supplies for those students who do not have adequate personal hygiene education or hygiene supplies
- provide dental, hearing, and vision screenings – as well as access to dental and vision care for students who need those services but are unable to access them, and ensure that the health care services provided to students in need are coordinated effectively by a school-based coordinator.
- Improve access to Lincoln Parish public health services by improving the operational flow of patients receiving services at the Lincoln Parish Health Unit, and expand the existing immunization program by providing the Gardasil vaccine for the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) to underinsured women between the ages of 19-26.
