LTP Medical Mobile, Inc. dba “The Health Hut”, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve the medical needs for the uninsured adult population of Lincoln Parish through mobile medical care. A casual conversation with a board member of the Lincoln Health Foundation led to the creation of The Health Hut by Dr. Leonel Lacayo and his wife Lisa Lacayo in 2011. The Lacayo’s took a great interest in serving those who could not afford medical care and had limited means of transportation. Today their legacy lives on as The Health Hut continues to provide easy access for complete primary care services to all areas of Lincoln Parish. The Health Hut also is a provider for Louisiana Medicaid.

- Access to quality primary healthcare for the uninsured, as well as Medicaid patients, in Lincoln Parish. By utilizing mobile medical services, the Health Hut is able to reach the people closer to where they are, specifically in the communities of Grambling, Dubach, Simsboro, as well as in Ruston.
- Focus on meeting medical needs by providing quality primary healthcare for conditions such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Asthma/Emphysema,Renal Disease, etc., as well as treatment on an urgent care basis for colds/flu, UTI, Upper Respiratory Infection, Abscess, Rash, etc.
- Provide basic laboratory services for ongoing assessment of patients and their medical conditions
- Maintain collaborative agreements and partnerships with organizations in Lincoln Parish that provide Health Hut patients with monthly screenings for mammograms and Pap smears, as well as personal behavior counseling.
- Fulfill the primary goal of ensuring that Health Hut patients have the resources needed to take care of their medical needs, and receive education on the importance of preventative healthcare.
